GenTle enables to set several values that influence either whole GenTle or specific project. To configure GenTle, use Configure GenTle menu item from Options menu. To configure actual project, use Configure Project menu item from the same menu.
When user selects Configure GenTle menu item, GenTle Configuration dialog appears. Several categories of options are defined.
In the category General, following can be configured
Contact: This contact will be offered in the Contact combo-box per default.
Language: if other languages that default are supported, you can select it from this combo-box.
Auto Comments: If enabled, GenTle will create some auto comments during construction of family tree. This feature is still not fully implemented so it is unset per default.
Use Compression: If enabled, GenTle will compress shared files when saving them to the disk.
Double Buffering: Double buffering will be used for displaying canvas view. This avoids flickering but is a little bit slower.
In category Fonts, application font can be selected.
In category Path, depository path can be selected. If you change this option, you have to restart GenTle to take effect.
In category Viewers, external viewers for media browser can be defined.
